Ingredients:
- 4 burger patties
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 eggs
- 4 slices of bacon
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Cooking oil for frying
Instructions:
Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle over medium-high heat
While the grill is heating, cook the bacon in a separate pan until crispy
Remove and drain on paper towels
In the same pan, melt the butter and saut the diced onions and bell peppers until theyre soft and slightly caramelized
Remove from heat and set aside
Season the burger patties with salt and pepper on both sides
Grill the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer if desired
While the burgers are cooking, fry the eggs to your liking in a separate pan with a bit of cooking oil
During the last minute of cooking the burgers, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the grill to melt the cheese
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill until theyre slightly crispy
Assemble your breakfast burgers: Place a burger patty with melted cheese on the bottom bun, top with a fried egg, a slice of crispy bacon, and a spoonful of the sauted onions and bell peppers
Place the top bun on top
Serve hot and enjoy your delicious breakfast burger
