This Slow Cooker Balsamic Tomato Basil Pulled Chicken is a tasty and simple meal thats great for a busy weeknight. Balsamic vinegar, tomato sauce, honey, and garlic are mixed together to make a thick, sour sauce that gives the chicken a great flavor. The whole family will love this meal whether you serve it with crusty bread, rice, or pasta.

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish optional

Instructions:

Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker

In a mixing bowl, combine balsamic vinegar, tomato sauce, honey, minced garlic, dried basil, salt, and pepper

Pour the mixture over the chicken

Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until chicken is tender and can be easily shredded with a fork

Once chicken is cooked, shred it using two forks directly in the slow cooker, mixing it well with the sauce

Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves if desired
