Ingredients:
- 2 lbs sirloin steaks
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- Wood chips for smoking
Instructions:
To make the marinade, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, kosher salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl
Pour the marinade over the sirloin steaks and place them in a plastic bag that can be sealed
Refrigerate for a minimum of two hours or overnight after sealing the bag
Set your smokers temperature to 225F 107C and add wood chips to begin smoking
After removing the steaks from the marinade, give them roughly half an hour to come to room temperature
Once the internal temperature of the steaks reaches your preferred level of doneness135 degrees Fahrenheit or 57 degrees Celsius for medium-rareplace them on the smoker grates and smoke for one to two hours
Allow the steaks to rest for ten minutes after smoking them before slicing and serving
